The Americans have three favorite sports: American football, baseball and basketball. Despite the country's cultural influence in the rest of the world, only the latter is widespread in the world. Americansalso appreciate the ice hockey. The skate, one of the most popular sports in the world today, was invented in the State of California, in the Decade of 1960, by surfers who wanted to practice their sport on days of few waves.
